How it works
What does Firstnamed do?
It asks AI assistants the questions your customers ask, and measures how often the answers name your brand, who they name instead, and which sites they read to decide.
Which AI assistants does it check?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Every plan covers all 4.
Why measure from the UK?
Answers depend on where a question is asked from. In our test on 9 October 2026, an assistant's UK and US answers to the same question had no site in common 69% of the time; asked twice from the UK, 6%. Every question is asked with the location set to the UK, so you see what UK customers see.
How is visibility measured?
Each question is asked several times on every assistant at each check. A figure is the share of those answers that name you, shown with the range that many answers can support, and a change is only called real when it's bigger than chance.
Which questions are tracked?
The ones you choose: up to 25 on Starter and 50 on Growth. When you set up, we suggest questions to start from, and you keep the ones that fit.
How often are checks run?
Once a week on Starter and 3 times a week on Growth, plus checks you run yourself (4 or 10 a month). A report arrives by email every week.
Can I read the actual answers?
Yes. Every answer is kept, with the sites the assistant read for it, so you can see why you were or weren't named.
Do I need to change my website?
No. An optional tag on your site can count the visits that arrive from AI assistants.
Can you guarantee AI will name us?
No. We measure what the assistants say; nobody outside them controls their answers. We show where you're missing and what to do about it.
